You are enough!

You know each new dawn is a moment of awakening; to the truth that the journey of life is a solo race. However, this race is not for the weak, but for the strong and passionate ones.

In your adventure in life, you mustn't expect a smooth sail. There would be definitely some bumps, thorns and rough edges to clear off. You will definitely find a lot of things that will either motivate or derail you. Trust me, the challenges will be trippled once you are very close to winning and that's when the courageous ones are being separated from weaklings.

It's all up to you to decide how to rise above your moments of weakness. You alone decides when to take a rest, when to choose another path, run or even crawl to your destination. It's your decision to make, and you can do it on your own.

Even though we often leave ourselves at the mercy of others, the truth is that most of the things we seek from others lie within us. Your thoughts are capable of pushing you forward or pulling you down. You have all it takes to be who you are with little or no help from anybody.

You really have to learn how to rock your own boat, live according to your own terms and take responsibility for your actions. Like I mentioned earlier, the journey of life is a solo race and you need to stop depending on others to save or fix you.

You are not just here to fill the numbers but to make a difference. When next you are caught in a difficult situation, tell yourself that you have everything you need. Keep reminding yourself that "You are enough!"

Make your journey a successful one. Don't quit, you too can do amazing things. Get rid of your fears and keep pushing!

Biafra: Northern elders demand Nnamdi Kanu’s head

Some leaders from northern part of Nigeria has called on the federal government to without delay arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

According to them, the IPOB leader was granted bail on certain conditions, adding that if it was established that he had violated his bail conditions, it was up to court to decide.

Elder statesman, Yanko Yakassai said there was nothing wrong with the Federal Government’s moves to rearrest Kanu for his unguarded utterances.

He said, “Kanu is under bail with certain conditions, if those conditions were breached, it was right for the government to approach the court for decision.

“The issue is purely judicial, and the Federal Government has taken the right step to address it, and current effort by tribal lords to politicise it is unfortunate “

On his part, a member of Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Senator Joseph Waku, particularly called for the immediate detention of the IPOB leader.

Waku told Vanguard that nobody was above the law, stressing that Nnamdi Kanu should not be an exception.

He said: “Did he not violate his bail conditions? He should have his bail revoked and put back in jail. Nobody is above the law. The government should demonstrate thàt it is serious.

”l Similarly, a former Police Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, said: “Kanu was not acquitted of the charges against him; he was only released on medical grounds. And the court gave him conditions which he appears to have violated. And he has developed a penchant for making trouble.

‘’I think the government is right to have approached the court again because if Kanu is left to continue the way he is going, other groups will emulate him.”

Herdsmen : Group gives Ondo govt one month ultimatum, threatens to block Lagos/Ore expressway

A group, the Council of Concerned Youths of Nigeria (CCYN) has issued a one month ultimatum to Ondo State government to send an anti-grazing bill to the state Assembly.

The group threatened to embark on massive protest by blocking the ever busy Lagos /Ore express way if the government did not meet the ultimatum.

The group in a statement by its president, Pastor Olumide Akinrinola hinged its ultimatum on the increasing trends of herdmens killings in the state, especially in the southern senatorial district.

“The state government should prepare a bill to be sent to the state House of Assembly for consideration against the indiscriminate grazing of cattle on our farmland to curtail this widespread evil by the herdsmen in Ondo State.”

The statement said the herdsmen attacks are now frequent such that people are afraid to go to their farms while those bold to go, do so in groups.

The group also called on the government to immediately fish out the herdsmen responsible for the killings and recent rape of a grandmother, Victoria Akinseye in Ore.

“We will embark on a mega protest on Lagos Benin express way in Ore and paralyse vehicular activities on that road.”

“We will ensure no vehicle coming from the east, south south or from Lagos or those going to Akure will be allowed to drive through if the state government does nothing after the expiration of one month notice counting from now,” Akinrinola said.

In his reaction, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Mr Olusegun Ajiboye said government is constantly meeting with all the security agencies in the state to find lasting solutions to the problem.

Ajiboye added that government is also holding series of meetings with stakeholders to find a peaceful way of solving the problem without unnecessarily heating up the polity.

“Very soon, we will begin to see the result of the stakeholders meeting,” Ajiboye said.

Sen. Misau, while reacting to claims that he deserted the Police Force and had been declared wanted, said he was not on the run.

How I spent 10 years under Lagos bridge with drug users – Dolapo Osinbajo

Wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, Pastor Dolapo Osinbajo, has recounted how she spent about 10 years with street urchins under several notorious Lagos bridges in a bid to reshape their lives.
The VP’s wife spoke at a “Teens Career Conference” put together by The Everlasting Arms Parish TEAP of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Garki, Abuja.

She said, “When I became a worker in the church, the first place I worked was the Teenage Church and for 10 years I was in the Children’s Church.

“For 10 years, I was under the bridge; under the bridge in Lagos with ‘Area Boys’. So, every kind of drug that there is, I know about it. I have seen it before and I have seen the effects as well and I will like you to know that the ones that use it are not different from you.

“Some of them too have parents in the church. Some of them have parents with very big names. There are some streets in Lagos that the names of the streets are names of people, some of which have their children under the bridge.

“There were people whose parents lived in America and yet their children were under the bridge. So, do not even imagine that it cannot happen to you, but you must be an example in your conduct.”

Ijaw Youths Warn FG Against Nnamdi Kanu’s Arrest

Ijaw Youths have condemned the federal government (FG) over moves to re-arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. The FG had few days ago hinted in court processes it filed that it wants to re-arrest Kanu over allegations that he had breached his bail conditions.

But IYC in a statement by Eric Omare said the FG is displaying double standards by treating other youth groups in the country engaged in agitations with kid gloves.

According to the Ericgossip.com, the actions and body language of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration shows deliberate institutionalisation of double standards in national affairs. It warned that the arrest of Kanu would heat up the polity with unimaginable consequences.

The advised that “It is the height of nepotism and sectionalism for the Buhari’s administration to treat the Arewa youth leaders who committed serious offence bothering on national security with kid gloves and being hosted to state dinners while leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kalu is threatened with arrest and several Niger Delta activist languishing in detention.

The way the Arewa youths were treated clearly justifies our earlier position that the quit notice was politically motivated and had the backing of the Hausa/Fulani political class.

The IYC is convinced that if the Arewa youth leaders were to be members of IPOB or from the Niger Delta region, they would have been in DSS underground detention cells by now.

The IYC condemn this institutionalization of double standard in national affairs by the Buhari administration in the strongest terms. We wish to state clearly that with the way and manner the Arewa youth leaders were treated, the Buhari administration has lost the justification to threaten to arrest Mr. Nnamdi Kalu or any other agitator in the southern part of Nigeria.

Nigerians ought to be treated equally irrespective of their place of origin or ethnic background. We also strongly advise against the planned revocation of the bail and arrest of the leaders of IPOB, Kanu
